The architect was aiming to achieve a colour similar to Corten steel (rusted). The precast manufacturer suggested Nawkaw as a staining alternative to brown oxide.
The brick facade was restored in a manner that retained the traditional feel of the building whilst at the same time giving it street appeal.
The client desired an earthy finish with stability and low maintenance to the panels, consistent in aesthetics to weathered steel.
